Sumiyoshi-taisha Shrine
It is the head shrine of the 2,300 Sumiyoshi Shrines in Japan. It is one of the representative shrines in Japan, visited by more than 2 million worshippers at the beginning of each year.

Sakai Plaza of Rikyu & Akiko
This is a cultural tourism facility where visitors can learn about the history and culture of Sakai through the personalities and lives of Sen no Rikyu, the great master of the tea ceremony, and Yosano Akiko, a poet. Visitors can also enjoy experiencing the tea ceremony.

Tumulus of Emperor Nintoku

Chikuma
Established in 1695 (Genroku 8), this historic soba restaurant preserves its original traditions. Instead of transferring the steamed soba to a separate dish, it is served directly in the wooden steamer, maintaining its unique presentation and flavor.

Tempura Daikichi Sakai Main Branch
